Welcome to Morning Open Thread, a daily post with a MOTley crew of hosts who choose the topic for the day's posting. We support our community, invite and share ideas, and encourage thoughtful, respectful dialogue in an open forum.
This author, who is on Pacific Coast Time, may sometimes show up later than when the post is published. That is a feature, not a bug. Other than that, site rulz rule.

So grab your cuppa, and join in!

Pangolins are weird. They probably see us as weird. That means we have something in common, which is always a good start to becoming friends.
These little guys with giant claws are only a threat to ants, because they’re industrial-strength cousins of armadillos. But we are a giant threat to them.
Meet some pangolins and some people who are their friends.
Like the song says….….
As a species, humans need to work on being better friends to our animal neighbors. We’re not very good at sharing the planet.
I am thankful for my friends, including all you MOTlies.
Wishing you a joyous Vernal Equinox! (or Autumnal, if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere)
