Michala Petri is a master of the recorder. Her skill must give pause to the many who hold this humble instrument in contempt because of some unpleasant encounter with the plastic version often used in elementary schools to introduce children to music-making.
I had the great good fortune to see one of her lecture-demonstrations many years ago, and have been a fan ever since.
